Ava Butterfield

Ava was raised in Port Townsend, Washington, and started competitive sailing in 8th grade. She was a member of the Port Townsend sailing team for five years and joined Husky Sailing during her freshman year at the University of Washington. Ava has dedicated significant time to sailing, both racing and coaching the Port Townsend High School race team. In her second year with the team, Ava held the position of Women’s Captain and is now in her third year. She is pursuing degrees in English and Law, Societies, and Justice, and is on the pre-law track with plans to attend law school after graduation.
