John Stanley

John has been on the water since he was 9 years old, first learning to sail at Pearl Harbor Yacht Club in Hawaii before moving to Oak Harbor in 1979.  He joined the Husky Sailing team in 1983, and was a member of the UW 1984 collegiate keelboat national championship team.  John has been racing competitively locally and nationally since then in everything from Thistles to grand prix ocean races.   Professionally, John is a consulting executive focused on the use of IT in the healthcare industry.
